Introduction & TECHNOLOGY
CONSTELLATION
LYNX MKII
2 way Bookshelf
The smallest bookshelf in the series, but expandable up to 67Hz. With a load volume of 1000cc, the Lynx will outperform many other larger and more expensive speakers. The Lynx is consistently regarded as better than its competitors in terms of sound production, fidelity and musicality.
The dynamics exceed most of the limitations of the standard bookshelf and are balanced and nuanced.
The customized rubber feet on the bottom of the cabinet structure helps to minimize vibrations by calibrating the surface-to-speaker distance to maximize the effectiveness of the low-frequency reflection system.
Details in Movement
DESIGN IS NOT JUST WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE AND FEELS LIKE.
DESIGN IS HOW IT WORKS.
The pressure that pushes the air inside the reflex duct is extremely high. Consider the analogy of hydraulic lines that push water upward. As the salt loses fluid pressure, the jets lose speed and weaken. Hence the goal must be to retain the optimal pressure within the reflex duct to ensure a consistent strength in the acoustic wave, while avoiding the audible noise past pressure speeds of 130km/h.
The tweeter with a soft dome of 38 mm in diameter, without coolant iron in the air gap, and a “waveguide” support, make it at the same time precise but soft, natural but resolute. Above all, it is so chaste that it can withstand high sound pressures and very low crossover frequencies of the crossover filter, for the benefit of a higher tonal cohesion between the two transducers
Rigidity & Structure
The central part of the body is made of a resin and wood fiber material called HDF (High Density Fiberboard). Its mass and rigidity ensure the lowest vibration levels achievable with materials made from wood fibers.
The side panels are made from solid wood.
This structure guarantees the necessary rigidity for vibration damping.
The stand is designed to place the speaker at ear level for optimal listening.
Acoustics / House
Constellation Mk2
This loudspeaker is designed to provide excellent performance even in typical home environments where acoustic performance is largely neglected.
The ideal listening environment should be at least 6 square meters and no more than 14 square meters.
